This policy explains how SiLC Technologies, Inc. (“SiLC,” “we,” or “us”) collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit www.silc.com (the “Site”) or contact us online. It also explains the rights California residents have under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (the “CCPA”).
This policy does not cover job applicants, employees, or contractors (who receive separate notices) or information we process for customers under a written agreement.

We do not collect sensitive personal information, as defined by the CCPA, through the Site.

3. Use of AI and automated tools
We use AI-based and other automated tools from third-party providers to help our staff summarize and categorize inquiries, draft responses, and understand Site trends. These tools support human review; they do not replace it. We do not use automated decision-making to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you, such as decisions about financial services, housing, education, employment, or healthcare.
Our providers process personal information only on our behalf, under written contracts that prohibit them from retaining, using, or disclosing it for any other purpose, including training or improving their own models.

No sale or sharing
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined in the CCPA, and have not done so in the past 12 months. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
5. Cookies and browser signals
We use cookies and similar technologies to run the Site, remember your preferences, and understand how the Site is used. Our current providers include Google Analytics, website host, form. You can manage or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some Site features may not work without them. To opt out of Google Analytics, use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Global Privacy Control (GPC)
We honor the GPC signal as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of personal information associated with that browser.
Do Not Track
Other than GPC, the Site does not respond to “Do Not Track” signals because no uniform standard exists.
6. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes in this policy, unless the law requires or permits longer. Identifiers, customer records, professional information, and inferences follow the inquiry or newsletter period below; internet activity and approximate geolocation follow the analytics period.

How to submit a request
Email contact@silc.com or call 626-686-1616. We will verify your identity by matching information you provide, such as your name and the email you used to contact us, with our records. We will acknowledge your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days. If we need up to 45 more days, we will let you know.
Authorized agents
Someone may submit a request on your behalf. We may ask the agent for your signed written permission and ask you to verify your identity directly with us.
Shine the Light
California Civil Code §1798.83 lets California residents ask about disclosures to third parties for their own direct marketing. We do not make such disclosures.
8. Children’s privacy
The Site is for business audiences and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Where we store information
SiLC is based in the United States and processes and stores information here. If you access the Site from another country, your information will be transferred to the United States, where privacy laws may differ from yours.
11. Third-party links
The Site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please review their policies.
12. Changes to this policy
We review this policy at least every 12 months and whenever our practices change, and we post updates here with a new “Last updated” date. For material changes, including any expanded use of information we already hold, we will give notice before the change takes effect and obtain consent where the law requires.
